Google Business Profile checklist for RV parks

Fifty-two checks in the order worth doing them. Tick as you go, or print the page and walk through the profile with a pen.

Work through this in order. The sequence is deliberate. Ownership and duplicates come first, because effort spent on a listing the park cannot edit is effort wasted. So is work done on the wrong one of two duplicates.

This page is the doing. The Google Business Profile guide is the understanding: why each field matters, and what cannot honestly be claimed about it.

Nothing is sent or stored. The count is calculated in the browser and disappears when the tab closes.

Ownership and access

Do this first. Everything else assumes the park can actually edit the listing.

Duplicates

Resolve these before adding anything, or the work goes onto the wrong listing.

Name, address and pin

These have to match the real world and the park website exactly.

Categories and attributes

The primary category is one of the strongest relevance signals on the profile.

Hours

Of every field here, wrong hours cause the most direct damage.

Phone and links

A broken booking link is invisible from the park side and costs bookings silently.

Photos

Campers judge on these, and most profiles are carrying only guest uploads.

Description and products

This is where the park states plainly what it is, in text systems can use.

Posts

Useful for campers reading the profile. Not a published ranking lever.

Reviews

Reviews contribute to prominence, and the rules here are strict.

Each season

The recurring work that keeps everything above from drifting.

Three things this checklist deliberately does not say

Posting on a schedule is not listed as a ranking action. Nor is uploading photos at a set frequency, nor replying within a particular number of hours. Those are good practice for campers reading the profile, which is why they appear at all. They are not published ranking levers, and this page will not present them as such.

Google describes local ranking in terms of relevance, distance and prominence. Its own documentation is worth reading directly rather than through a summary.

What this checklist does is make the profile accurate, complete and consistent. That is the part a park controls.

Or have the profile checked for you.

The free Google Profile Audit runs this checklist against the park's actual listing and reports what is missing, wrong or stale. By email, usually within one business day.

We will review your park and email the findings within one business day. By submitting, you agree to the Privacy Policy and allow us to respond to this request by email.
