How these guides get made
Every guide on this site follows the same rules for research, review, disclosure, and correction. The rules are short enough to publish, so here they are.
Research and sources
Guides are built from primary sources where they exist: Google's own documentation for anything about Search, Maps, or Business Profiles, platform help centers, and first-hand testing. Where a claim comes from a source, the guide links it. Where a claim is FillMyPark's own observation or estimate, the guide says so instead of dressing it up as an industry fact.
One rule is absolute: no invented statistics. The marketing category around campgrounds is full of dramatic per-missed-call and review-revenue figures with no visible method. If a number cannot be traced to a source or measured by the park itself, it does not appear here.
Who writes and reviews
Content is written and reviewed under the name that appears on it. Articles carry a byline and an updated date, and the author profile lives on the About page. Korey Brooks reviews guides for accuracy against how websites, search and campground operations actually behave. That draws on web work since 1995, agency operation since 2016, and more than 20 years of camping trips.
How AI is used
FillMyPark uses AI tools to accelerate research and drafting, and says so plainly. Every published guide is reviewed by a person before it goes live, and the person is accountable for what it says. AI systems can make mistakes, which is exactly why the review step and the corrections process below exist.
Corrections
Errors get fixed, not quietly buried. A factual correction updates the page and its visible updated date. Anything materially wrong gets corrected as soon as it is found. Spotted an error? Write to info@fillmypark.com and a person will read it.
Updates and dates
Each article shows its published date and its most recent update. The updated date changes when the content meaningfully changes, not on every cosmetic tweak, so the date means something.
Disclosures
This site currently carries no sponsorships, no paid placements, and no affiliate links. If that ever changes, this policy gets updated first and the affected pages get labeled. Guides do reference FillMyPark's own services where relevant. Those references are marketing for this business. They are written to stay useful to a park that never buys anything.
